Amish country presents the “city boy” with an entirely different frame of reference.  Instead of the rat race’s “Where can I get it?” these folks ask, “How do I make it?”  It’s a peaceful, natural existence light years removed from cell phones, iPads and email.  I can at least savor it for several days away from the “cloud” and it's pressures.  These Guernseys definitely moved to their own different drummer!

This piece was my first submission to AIS, and was juried into the American Impressionist Society's 2013 National Show which was on exhibit at the M Gallery in Charleston, SC, where it was sold during the exhibition!  (A great big "Thank you!" to Mark Gingerich for the use of his reference photo!)
