Yet another in my ongoing series of Monet "take-offs." Here I wanted to diminish the obvious focal point of the lily itself by breaking it up with shadows. The central focal area really "pops" because of the strong contrast, white against darks, but it is visually more intricate and muted, making your eye/mind connection work a little bit.
