"Hollyhocks"

An indoor still life on a sweltering summer afternoon.  Unlike Monet and his gang of "from life" disciples, we were able to paint in the cooling breath of air conditioning and the glow of incandenscent and florescent electric lights!  That kept the light from changing and allowed us to paint for several hours without "chasing the light."
