I, too, have fallen under the spell of Monet and all those water lily paintings. I’ve begun my own series, very loosely dedicated to Claude, of my impressions of those beautiful white, aromatic flowers floating amid the circular/heart-shaped leaves, highlighted by reflected sky and trees. Highly intoxicating! But it can be quite the crap shoot when trying to find my right situation for water lilies. I want sun, still water, and an arrangement that allows adequate water to fill the composition, reflections just so.
