"Road To the Farm"

One of several paintings inspired by a trip to the slower, horse-drawn pace we found in north-central Ohio Amish country.  We did some plein air studies, and a lot of “photo sketching.”  Down one gravel road we saw this view of a distant farm.  I was seduced by the red/green design elements of this panoramic view, and determined to put it on canvas shortly after returning to the studio.  (Which I did.)  (Obviously.)  (Since you are looking at it.)
