In January for our anniversary I took Ellen for a weekend getaway to where? Yes, Amish country in northern Ohio, where the snow was profuse and the air was cold. A great time to venture out for a look-see, then back indoors to "warm up," was my plan. We headed out late in the afternoon, meandering our way toward our planned evening "entertainment"—a used book store in Wooster. What a fortuitous choice, as we were treated to a "light show" by the sun and snow. Numerous stops were made for yours truly to jump out of the warm car and test my camera's endurance in the low-teens temps. Eventually I resorted to snapping shots out the window while my sweetie drove. When we got home I went through my pics and found some real winners. But what I found most intriguing were the fast-moving and often blurred images shot out the windows when the tail end of daylight's illumination made for some unexpected beauty. I wanted this piece to feel like you just happened to turn your head and glance out the side window as you passed this stunning farm while doing 50 mph on a back road. Talk about "Wow!" moments!
