"Farm Lane II"

Part of my Yellow Springs one-person show.  I was driving around looking for subject matter when this little gravel road leading out into some soybeans piqued my interest.  Stopping the car in mid-summer was an invitation for the horseflies to congregate.  I am a city guy, so the thought of those two-inch-long flying skin-pokers was a real put off.  Weenie that I am, I again opted to paint in the can, with the air conditioning on, I might add.  So does that count as plein air painting?  Hmmm, a real conundrum for the purists.
