Under the powerful spell of Robert Bateman at the height of his popularity. This was from a photo taken at the Mead Wildlife Area in Wisconsin during a field trip as part of a Robert Bateman Master Class sponsored by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum. The Barn Owl was added later. Purchased by good friends of 30+ years, an approved home for the adoption process, especially fitting since he presided over adoptions for decades!
