"Morning Slowdown"

I pulled up to a railroad crossing that was putting a crimp on my early morning errands.  I had no thought that a strong idea for a new painting was awaiting.  As I sat, irritated at my delay, I noticed the bright sunlight peeking through the clouds.  Then, as each tank car passed, the sunlight would streak through and illuminate the pavement.  I eased off my attitude and began to soak in the beauty of my forced pause, got out my phone and began collecting visual information for the studio painting that would follow.
