"Farm Lane I"

I painted a plein air study of these farm buildings during a raw and overcast day.  I thought the composition had promise, so I repainted (and thinned no more!) a small study in imagined sunlight, and kept it loose with the palette knife.  An interesting experiment in "stage directing" my "play" in paint.
