"Grazing"

Rural calm permeated the air as I paused on a painting outing to Amish country.  The curious cows were more interested in the green goodness of the pasture than in the gawking, photo-snapping "city guy."  But city guy was soaking up the atmosphere, the humidity, the peace and quiet that are hard to come by even in the suburbs of a big metropolis.  Later, in the studio, those "vibes" would ignite a passionate paint interpretation of that warm afternoon filled with the sound of munching bovines.
