"Afternoon Glow"

I absolutely love the incidental surprises when you "happen" to turn your head, then suddenly gasp with the stunning beauty of the image that burns into your retinas!  That’s what happened here on an island ridge overlooking the water.  I'd hiked up to get a handle on the vista looking downward, but instead was arrested by this strong composition behind me with intense light effects and strong visual components.
