"Uphill"

Hilly terrain patched with grapes and cypresses is "kissed" by the late day sunlight.  I love the evening light that turns golden, then bronze, as more and more atmospheric dust and water vapor impede the passage of other wavelengths of light.  The soft, warm glow of that end-of-day sun makes for some dramatic light effects that woo the artist (and photographer!) to record the amazingly light-saturated scenes like this!

My thanks to friend Bill Westerman for his critique suggestion that much improved the painting!
